One Zainy Zoo

Since the weather was a little warmer this weekend, we decided to take the boys to the Dallas Zoo.  It was the perfect time to go, we practically had the place to ourselves!  We haven't been to the Dallas Zoo in a while and the new Giants of the Savanna exhibit is fabulous and a huge improvement to the Dallas Zoo. 

Ford said his favorites were the penguins, tigers and monkeys.  Jake's favorite was the monkeys.  No real surprise that they both loved the monkeys, since they both are little monkeys!  Also, the monkeys were talking to us a bunch, there was definitley a connection.

January Fun

It has been a cold January, we started with some snow at the beginning of the month.  We had a blast making snowballs and having snowball fights!

Since it has been so cold, we have done more indoor activities.  We recently visited Pump It Up Jr.  We had a lot of fun jumping, climbing and sliding.

We also went bowling for the 1st time at Srikz.  It was pretty successful, with the help of the bumpers and ramp.  Ford actually got a strike!  The arcade games were also a hit as usual. 

We've also been having fun going to library storytime, playing with friends and trying to do some structured activities at home to prepare Jake for school next month!


New Year, New Blog

We started a website (http://www.fordandjake.com/) back when the boys were born. It was perfect for organizing pictures, especially in the early days when they don't do much, but yet you take thousands of pictures! We've kept it updated, and I still love it, but now that Ford and Jake are about to turn the big "3", I wanted to include more journaling options.  Then once a year, I will turn the posts into a memory book. The great thing about the old website is I can have it all put on a disk, so when our page expires, we will be able to keep it forever!
