May Celebrations

May has been full of celebrations!  We went to a birthday party at the park for our friend Gabriel and we went to our little friend Mason's 1st birthday party.  Mason's party theme was Chica from Sprouts and was super cute.  We got our own Chica headpieces and scarves as favors along with tons of goodies from the Chica pinata that we helped bust open!

Ford and Jake have been learning about plants at school so when I saw a Terrarium kit on clearance at Walmart, I knew it would be a fun activity.  We planted 4 different types of flowers and are now watching them grow.

Ford and Jake made special artwork for me for Mother's Day at school.  Ford's project is a flower with his picture in the middle, his hand prints for petals, the stem is his height and the leaves are his feet.  There was a really sweet poem that went with it.  Jake's project was a card with a flower that he made with tissue paper, his hand print inside, a poem and he wrote Happy Mother's Day.  They were both so proud of their work and I'll always cherish these special gifts!

Mother's Day love!

Review of April Activities

With T-Ball season coming up, we decided to practice catching the baseball. Before we got started, Ford and Jake ran inside and put on their knight helmets and baseball gloves. They have seen a lot of baseball on TV and know that catchers always wear a helmet!

Ford drew two really tall people and Jake was working on a detailed space ship.
We love doing hop scotch!
Ford's class has been learning about the life of a plant.  He planted his own seeds at school and watched the plant grow.  He then brought it home for all of us to enjoy.  I hope our little plant keeps thriving!

Jake got new glasses!

We participated in a Trike-A-Thon with our multiples group that benefited St. Jude's.  Ford and Jake collected donations for the event and rode their scooters (instead of Trikes).  It was a fun event and a great way for Ford and Jake to work hard and give back to help other kids.

We attended Landry's 2nd birthday party.  Landry's Mommy went all out on decor, activities, food and favors, the whole party was "pin" worthy!  We had a wonderful time and it was so special to get to celebrate with such good friends!

Ford and Jake have pretty much given up afternoon naps, although some days they must work extra hard at school and end up crashing mid afternoon.  This day, Ford thought he wanted a snack but ended up being too tired to eat it.

Jake frequently strips down to nothing but his undies.  The same afternoon he decided to snuggle up on the couch for a snooze.  Later I took Ford's snack bowl away and he ended up cuddling next to his brother.  They are always so sweet . . .while sleeping.

Easter

He IS risen!  We were up bright and early on Easter morning so we decided to get ready and go to the 8:00 AM church service instead of a later one.  It was the perfect way to start our Easter celebration.

When we got home from church Ford and Jake found a special letter addressed to them.

They ran to the bathroom and found a basket of goodies in the bathtub! (We got the whole adventure on video, so much excitment!!)

We then had a huge breakfast, played Legos, watched The Muppets movie and rested.

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's a little later for dinner and a cousin egg hunt.  Gigi and Granddday also joined us (although unfortunatley not pictured due to non-cooperative little boys).  We ended up doing an inside egg hunt due to the wet ground from the rain earlier in the day.

Poor little Jake always seems to get hurt.  He fell and bumped his head, Mommy comforted him, but that wasn't enough.  He needed some love from Grandma and Grandpa.

Ford and Benjamin are little partners in crime and always being silly!  I couldn't get Ford and Jake to pose for any pictures, so I just took some when I could.
