A few minutes after our guests starting arriving, the station got an emergency call, so the fire fighters had to leave with the truck and ambulance. A Community Volunteer comes to all the birthday parties in case this happens, so we weren't left all alone. We decided to just hang out in the living room area and wait for the rest of our guests to arrive. It all actually worked out well. By the time the fire fighters got back, just about all of our guests had arrived and the kids were getting tired from running around.
The Firemen went over fire safety, Stop Drop and Roll, and one of them got dressed in the full gear in front of us. The kids were all very well behaved and sat still and quiet. After that, we went on a tour and saw where the firemen sleep and then the trucks! All the kids got to walk in the fire truck, then we took a big group picture out front. They also turned on the lights and sirens, wow they are loud when you are standing right in front!
We then enjoyed hot dogs and cake. It was a perfect party for two fire truck loving 4 year old boys! We are so thankful to all our friends that came out to celebrate with us and we are forever grateful to Frisco Fire Station #2 for providing a very special day!
