June is all about the water!

Jake's last day of school was June 6th and their first swim lesson of Session 2 started the same day.  They both did great with their new class, they also have some friends in it - Benjamin, Maddie and Izzie.

We've been practicing our swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

It looks like Ford is swimming alone, but he actually has some floaties on.

They loved being tossed in the air!

Our weekends almost always consist of cooking out and having fun in the backyard water park.  It is really the only way to stay cool in the 100+ temperatures.

They made a choo choo train for the last day of swim lessons!  We actually had to go one more day for a make up.  We had our teacher from our first session.  I think Ford wanted to show off for her because he did some independent swimming!  They both love the water and could possibly turn into fish by the end of the summer.

Summary of Jake's School Activites

Jake had such a wonderful time at school.  In just 4 months, he has made some great progress in his speech.  We've also noticed he has been more helpful at cleaning up at home and even better at following directions.  His teachers are all so great and plan fun activities every day.  They are also kind enough to take pictures for the parents.  These are some highlights of his school activities.

They did wonderful crafts and projects.  We have a stack of all his work, which I took pictures of and will eventually turn into a book.

May Highlights

We've been super busy lately, and it doesn't look like we'll be slowing down any time soon.  These are some highlights of May.  Jake had another family project for school to decorate a butterfly.  They hung them around the school for the last month.  After the boys worked on the "school" one, they both wanted to color their own as well.

When we got home from taking Jake to school one day, Ford decided he wanted to read one of his library books to Jackson.  It was really cute and he was really proud of himself, too bad it doesn't look like Jackson enjoyed it as much.

The boys love when Benjamin comes over to play.  They love playing outside and having snacks together.

Madison and Sydney came over one day to play.  The girls are so cute and asked for me to take their picture on the chair.  Notice someone peeking around.  Such a little stinker!

Later on, Ford and Sydney buddied up and took turns pushing each other in the car.  They also shared slippers, they each had one Nemo and one Car on each foot.  Such cutie pies!

Jake and Madison decided to do stickers.  They were both working so hard to decorate their sheets just right!

One Sunday, Blake and Benjmain came over for a little bit.  The best way to keep 4 boys busy is to play outside, especially when you add water guns and sprinklers!  I guess it is a preview of the summer when school is out for everyone!

Another play day with Benjamin.  All 3 boys got comfortable to watch a movie.

They were still very into the movie at lunch time, so they got to eat in the living room as a special treat.

Cooking out and playing outside over Memorial Day Weekend.
We also went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Ford loved using the arm floats.  He felt very independent and didn't want us touching him or even get too close to him.    I only got one pool picture, right when Jake and I got out (I'll have to see if Grandma got more).  Jake wore his arm floats for a little bit, but he actually preferred playing on the steps and practicing his swimming skills while holding on to one of us or the kickboard.

Jake enjoying dessert!

At bed time, we occassionally let them lay on the couch for a little bit as a special treat.  They were exhausted after swimming all afternoon and literally passed out!
